Everest Bank’s 15th AGM declares bonanza

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd during its 15th annual general meeting approved the declaration of 30 per cent bonus shares and 30 per cent cash dividend.
The AGM also approved the financial statements ending 31st Asadh 2066. The Bank has made an increment in its deposits by more than 39 per cent and advances by almost 30 per cent during the year compared to the previous year.
The bank recorded a growth of 30.3 per cent in operating profit to Rs 107.35 crores from Rs 82.39 crores the previous year. The asset quality improved by reduction of NPA to 0.48 per cent from 0.68 per cent the previous year. The net NPA of the bank is minus 1.9 per cent after provisioning. Earlier, on Friday as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility towards empowering underprivileged students, it donated 24 computers to 17 schools, college and institutions.
